Chemistry Experiments and Demonstrations

Chemistry experiments and demonstrations make the abstract ideas of the subject tangible by letting reactions be observed directly. Whether performed in a laboratory or simulated on screen, they show how substances change colour, produce gas, release or absorb heat, or form new compounds, reinforcing the principles that explain why these changes happen. Interactive simulations and animations extend this by letting variables be altered safely and the outcome watched repeatedly.

Many demonstrations illustrate the structure of matter, using molecular models to show how atoms join into molecules and how the same atoms can be arranged into different organic molecules with different properties. Others focus on chemical reactions, including the behaviour of acids, which can be tracked by colour-changing indicators, and reactions that release energy as heat or light.
