The cell is the smallest unit of life, and much of what happens inside it occurs at a molecular scale and in constant motion, which makes animation a natural way to teach it. Visual simulations can show the interior of a cell as a busy, three-dimensional space rather than the flat labelled diagram found in textbooks, helping learners picture how organelles are arranged and how materials move between them.
